First Timer having difficulty

I have been working with Java for some time, but I'm having trouble following the logic here.

I've tried exporting a number of times, but it's not working. Sometimes I don't get css content, other times I have a tpl file that says it's undefined.

When I preview in the builder I either see nothing or plain text with no structure. When I view the html I see nothing or plain text with no structure.

I'm attaching my attempts, but could use another set of eyes to help point me in the right direction.

the CSS is not applied because css classes in menu.css are not referenced in menu_tpl.js
Try re-exporting the files from the builder again. You should get the same results as in preview.
You should also adjust the sizes so the menu items don't overlap.
